Mothman and Friend. The slouchy (DK Riot in Waterlily) is at the decrease stage.  I counted and recounted, adding stitch markers as I went.  Got halfway round the pattern, then realized the markers should have been placed every six stitches, not eighteen!  It's not knitting without tinking is it?  lol  That's what I get for counting and watching movies with subtitles!

A few projects in this book have been singing their siren song for a while.  So who am I to resist? lol I've always liked fall and Halloween projects and fell in love with fall ten years ago when I moved to North Carolina from Perth, Australia.  This is my version of The Great Pumpkin.  The leaves didn't look right, no matter how they were arranged.  So, they were removed.  The red and gold fabrics came from the scrap box and the green was cut from yardage.   The applique was machine sewn with herringbone stitch.  It's a bit wobbly in parts, as I'm out of practice.  That just means there are more raw edge applique projects in my future! Next thing is to hand stitch some leaves and vines and some "indentations" on the pumpkin.  That will be next week's project. A bit of echo quilting and it will be finished.  It should be up on the wall for fall. My last blog, Pieceful Stitching was removed recently, as I'd not posted in about...
